This large dam lake is located at the gates of the Cirque d'Estaubé, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Gavarnie and Troumouse, thus forming the 3 cirques. Idea for a walk: around the lake From the dam car park, a nice loop allows you to go around the lake in less than an hour. Interpretive panels punctuate the walk and provide information on the mountain environment and the high altitude landscapes shaped by man. Possibility of extending the walk to the Estaubé cirque: around 3 hours round trip from the car park, easy level, dogs prohibited.
