A great classic of the Tour de France, with a 4-5% ramp up to Eaux-Bonnes, to then attack the serious slopes up to Gourette (often at 8%) before the final high mountain scenery in the middle of the meadows altitude and at the foot of the high peaks of Ger and Médaa, with the last 4 km at 9% regular.
